2024年は辰年です。京都の絵師たちの龍図が至る所で存在しますが、平成26年に150年ぶりに復活した大船鉾へ。
復興に際して参照になった大船鉾図　岡本豊彦画を拝見することが出来ました。本画は薄墨の龍頭ですが、復興後の金の龍頭にして描きました。

被災地の日々のニュースに心を痛めています。1日でも早い復興をお祈り申し上げます。

2024年も皆様にとって、創造への新たな出会いと感動に満ち溢れた一年となりますように…。

The year 2024 is the year of the dragon. The dragon paintings by Kyoto painters are everywhere, but I would like to visit Ofunaboko, which was restored in 2014 for the first time in 150 years.

I was able to see the painting of Toyohiko Okamoto’s “Ofunaboko” which was used as a reference for the restoration. This painting is a dragon head in light ink, but I painted it as a gold dragon head after the reconstruction.

I am deeply moved by the daily news from the disaster-stricken areas, and I pray for the earliest possible recovery.

May 2024 be another year full of excitement and new encounters with creation for all of you….
